Below are the basic stages to getting your driving licence. Of course you can discuss this in more detail with your chosen instructor.
Getting your Provisional Licence
Before you can learn to drive you will need to obtian a provisional driving licence. You can apply for this from the 'Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). The application form (form D1) can be obtained from your local Post Office.
The Theory test
The Theory Test MUST be passed before you take the practical exam. It is a multiple choice computer test and there is also a Hazard Perception test. We will advise on the learning materials required and you will be given support at every stage. You can book your theory test through the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) website.
The Practical Driving Test
The final step in getting your full driving licence is of course to take the practical test. During the course of your lessons you will guided through the test procedure so you know what to expect on the day. We will let you know when we think you are ready for your test.
